Do you believe the men and women of Harrison County who have fought and died for our country deserve a worthy memorial?
We hope you agree with us that the names of these patriots should never be forgotten.
Memorial City Hall was dedicated in 1927 as a memorial to the men and women who lost their lives in World War I. In the 1940s, the names of our citizens who died in World War II were memorialized there as well.
Over the years, however, the memorial for these soldiers seemed forgotten as Memorial City Hall was closed and neglected. The Korean War ... The Vietnam War ... Desert Storm ... Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ... as well as other conflicts have all been waged, but we have no dedicated memorial honoring our men and women for their service.
BUT NOW THINGS ARE CHANGING!
A completely refurbished Memorial City Hall will have its grand opening in the fall of 2018.
