Just like most hospitals, rising costs and decreasing reimbursements make it difficult for MCH to generate any income above its basic operating costs. Upgrades, expansions and improvements must be funded from outside sources.

That's where the MCH Foundation comes in.

The tireless work of the volunteer members of the Foundation and the donations they cultivate has transformed a struggling rural hospital into an advanced facility that is prepared to attend to the growing and diverse needs of our community.

Private donations to the Foundation have financed construction of the Hospital's Emergency Department, upgrades to the Lab and Radiology Departments, a heliport, digital imaging technology and an emergency generator that guarantees continuance of life-saving power in the event of a fire or earthquake.
